                                                             ~Welcome to Wiki Capocci~

(This is a picture of my cousin and I at my wedding, on 9/26/09!)

By using this page not only will I be able to communicate with all of my Fabulous 5th Graders, but I will also have the opportunity to communicate with the parents of my students as well. In addition, my students will also be able to communicate, with each other, as a class. I am excited to start using our Wiki and hope that you are too!

The first couple questions you may have might be, What is a Wiki and how does it work?

That is simple! A wiki is an online document, a webpage, that can be edited right inside of the web browser. What does that mean?  It means that these webpages are shared by everyone in our classroom. It also means that you have the privelage and responsibility of creating and maintaining our classroom website.

Now that we have that out of the way let's see if I can hopefully answer some of the questions that you may have right now about myself and our classroom. Our wonderful classroom is located in the C-Wing of WDMS  and is room #5. On the wall right outside of our classroom you will see a large poster that has a worm peeping out of a shiny, red apple that reads the following, "Welcome to Our Class."

Being that you may have already guessed but if you didn't already know I'll let you in on a little tid-bit of information, this is my first year teaching at WDMS and I am extremely excited to meet all of you and to get the school year started! There are lots of exciting activities and projects that we are going to get to do this year and not only are they going to be a first for you but for some of them they will be a first for myself as well. With that being said, I want all of you to know that we will work together as a team and by doing so I guarantee that we will have a wonderful and exciting year.

All About Mrs. Capocci!

I am a 5th grade teacher here at WDMS. I am excited to get the school year started as well as to start using and communicating with my students via the use of technology. At the beginning of the school year each and every student in my class will be receiving a laptop! We will learn to use the laptops together and we will also learn how to blog, surf, publish, and so much more! During the day we will be using our laptops to do most of our work so I  hope that your fingers are fully rested and are ready to get to work!

If you are one of my fabulous 5th graders then you should probally know a little bit more about myself. Before coming to WDMS  I was also a student. I attended Rider University and that is where I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education and English. I recently moved to Mount Laurel, NJ  where I live with my wonderful husband, Chris, as well as our cat, whose name is Calvin, but is often referred to as Garfield because he looks just like him. Both my husband and I are huge Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fans! In my spare time I  love to either read a good book, spend time with my family and friends, go shopping, or just enjoy a nice relaxing night at home.

If for any reason you ever need to contact me, about anything, please feel free to email me at tcapocci@wdeptford.k12.nj.us.
